Geoff Budden




    Geoff is a well-known civil litigator with a record of success leading complex cases regarding governments and other large institutions.


    In 2013, he was part of the international legal team that was successful in obtaining $16.5 million in cash compensation for those who were molested as children by Christian Brothers of Ireland.


    Since 2018 he has represented the Muskrat Falls Concerned Citizens Coalition at the Muskrat Falls Inquiry.


    Geoff resides in St. John's with his family and has volunteered with organizations such as the Newfoundland and Labrador Human Rights Association, the St. John's Regional Library Board and the Avalon East School Board.


    Geoff is proud to currently serve as a board member on and supporter of the Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Centre.

    Will Hiscock




    Will combines his passion as an advocate for social justice and political issues with his skills in civil litigation.


    Will has been working with Geoff since 2010 and they have worked closely together on many cases. His practice has focused on representing car accident victims and the survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

    Paul Kennedy




    Since 2011, Paul has worked closely with survivors of abuse.


    Prior to joining Geoff in 2013, he developed his litigation skills as a staff solicitor with the Newfoundland and Labrador Legal Aid Commission. He has appeared as lead counsel for trials in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, General and Family Divisions.


    In 2013, Paul traveled with the Provincial Circuit Court to the Innu community of Natuashish, Labrador, and he has since developed a keen interest in Northern Affairs.

    Allison Conway


    Allison is a bilingual lawyer (English/French) who has been working with Geoff since 2015. Her practice focuses on representing personal injury clients, particularly survivors of sexual abuse and victims of motor vehicle accidents. Allison is also available to provide general legal services.


    As an active member of the community, Allison volunteers her legal skills with the Small Claims Legal Assistance Clinic, and with Kind Minds, a project of the Community Sector Council which pairs coaches with professional expertise with community groups. She is also a mentor to a student at Dalhousie's Schulich School of Law through the Weldon Mentor Program.


    Allison sits on the Rabbittown Community Centre Board of Directors, and is the Legal Representative for the Genetics/Genomics subcommittee of the Health Research Ethics Board.
